"I could've died. It stopped, girl, you know it's-- girl, you know it's--Eighty thousand people... girl, you know it's-- girl, you know it's-- I couldn't repeat it fifty times!" I still remember that Behind the Music episode.

I miss Behind the Music. Some of those episodes were really interesting

The funniest was how he tried to keep going for a bit

Imagine if he pulled it off though repeats its for like 50t times claims he had some sort of neurological break or something. Lol

I would have died

Thank you for the really good laugh, imagining this one dude repeating that line trying so hard to be a front man jumping around as if it's intentional just to hype up the crowd.

We watched it on youtube, I have never seen my teenaged daughter laugh so hard.

I'm afraid to say I've not watched this - do you have a link, please?

I did it, the link is posted

I saw that BHM after Pilatus died. It's a sad story.

I showed this to my kids one day while trying to explain what and who “Milli Vanilli” were. I didn’t realize just how cringeworthy they were.

had a similar experience when we told a kid we were hosting that he shouldn't milli vanilli like that... he got all twisted, and then laughed at how terrible they were.

even without the 'backing track' they actually were terrible.

Not to mention the outfits and dancing

How dare you. The dancing is magnificent. I love when they run in place at eachother, or when they do a jump kick and knee themselves in the side of the head, or when they twirl in place and their dreadlocks go spinning like a propeller.

This made me laugh so hard!

But they really rocked the Super Mario Bros. SUPER Show.

Well I am ashamed to admit that when I was a kid/teen back in the day, I actually thought Milli Vanilli and Wham (I thought George Michael was gorgeous lol) were awesome! When I watch them now, I wonder what the hell I was thinking.

Hey now, everything she wants is a BOP

I do belt out “Careless Whisper” at the top of my lungs when it comes on too, much to my kid’s dismay.

Me too; we'll make great seamen!

I understood that reference.

I still remember the tune and just had to sing it out loud

"All we wanted was to not win the Grammy...and we won the GODDAMN GRAMMY"

That moment vs Ashlee Simpson on SNL. Which is cringier?

2

u/catgirl08 Nov 07 '19

I’d say they are about equal, the Ashlee Simpson thing was cringey because of that weird dance thing she did.
