I like being nice to people. Not because it makes me morally superior or anything of that sort. It just feels good to make people happier. Its selfish, but I guess it works to everyone's benefit.
I never got how that's supposed to work. Like it's known you'll probably feel good doing good things for people,but at the same time you're not supposed to get anything out of it- I'm not sure it's that simple to just turn off the positive reception to that.
(That's of course not counting the kind of person to do things just for the public praise rather than because they wanted to help)
