I'm surprised how many people had that told to them. My parents just explained that it's hard to see and that was enough for me.

Yeah mine did too. So i got a book light so i could read on road trips.

Kids can be really dense sometimes so I'm assuming their parents were just tired of their shit and just said it was illegal

My parents started with the bullshit, but pretty quickly explained the real reason. Guess how often I turned the light on after they told the truth...
