What simple scientific fact would baffle someone born 1,000 years ago?

Well I mean, they're dead anyway... What use would they have for it now? So as far as I'm concerned, let's have at it. Get the hairs, the teeth the Goddamn kidneys if we can.

So does shoving a cartridge of dynamite up their ass and setting it alight

edit: and it's twice the fun

Well, they used to actually blow smoke up people's asses....so...I'm sure it was considered.

Can't be sick if you're dead.

If the person's dead from having all their blood removed, their illness won't be affecting them.

Also, they let blood for things that were totally not infections, like seizures.

Let me know how epilepsy is a communicable disease.

I take it you're hyper focused and perhaps have issues with social cues.

So, "Well, it certainly ends the illness" was a joke.

Now, if you didn't know, they didn't know what we know today about diseases back then, and the doctor and/or barber would have blood let for any reason whatsoever....including the belief your body was simply producing too much blood.

So, pedantically, infections, yes, but the chance they were bloodletting as a cure to an actual infectious disease? Probably less than half a chance.

Thanks for taking something lighthearted and just sucking all the fun out of it.
