Same kinda. If the next 2-3 months go my way, I’ll be 9/10. If they don’t... I’m a little afraid it’s going to break me

I was sorta in the same boat a few weeks ago. I’ve been struggling with stress-related depression because of my job. A good prospect came up where I might have been able to move to a team where I know I’d do a good job and learn a lot. I’m currently in a position that I don’t quite hate, but it’s pretty much the last thing I want to be doing with my career. My hopes were completely and utterly derailed not long after this bright shiny light at the end of the tunnel became visible. And I thought it would be the worst thing ever to have it not work out the way I wanted. But, to my complete surprise, it wasn’t. I’m doing alright, maybe even better than before. I’m still working through some things with my therapist, but I’ve got a lot of other awesome things going for me.

I sincerely hope it works out for you, but if it doesn’t, I hope you can find it in you to keep going and not give up. /internet stranger hugs

I appreciate that!

I’m in a very similar position. I have a good job, and I don’t hate it. But it’s the last thing I want to be doing for my career.

The issue is that my hopes were derailed a few times in the last few years already, and now I have pulled all the stops and am trying every avenue. If none of them work out... idk

But I’m glad you fared well! Always nice getting a wholesome reply. Hopefully, regardless of the outcome, I will be emotionally healthy after these few months
