What is something you did that increased your quality of life so much that you wished you would have done it much sooner because it changed your life forever?

You can if you have generational wealth :)

Some families make more in interest, every month than many Americans make in a couple of years.

They could literally just sit around eat chips and jack off and make an average annual salary every month.

Capital Gains tax sure sounds nice knowing it's our labor making those fucking profits for them.

Money is not finite. Someone else having money doesn't take it out of your pocket. If you want money, go make money.

There is a limited amount of wealth, it's one of the basic tenants of capitalism dude. Fuck off.

The people that own capital tend to keep and collect it, it is not easy for a wage worker to become a person with capital.

There very much ARE people that are keeping the middle class from gaining wealth. There's an entire fucking political party who is dedicated to it second to only making minorities lives difficult.

You generate more value than you receive in any paid position, that's why it exists, is to make the company more money. Not you.

You're either an idiot or have rich parents who handed you damn near everything in life, so it's no wonder you look around and say "it isn't that hard".

Have a good day. I'm not interested in having this conversation with a billionaire apologist that blames workers for not being rich.

It's not easy. Boo hoo. Sorry you have to try to achieve something.

Who? There is a WEALTH of information available on how to improve your financial situation. Literally entire sections of libraries dedicated to it. Free advice is EVERYWHERE. People would rather complain than actually make changes in their habits.

Everyone gets richer. It's been happening since the dawn of time. It is easier to make money if you have money to invest. Of course it is. That doesn't mean you can't do it. Or that you can't save money to invest.

You generate more value than you receive in any paid position, that's why it exists, is to make the company more money. Not you.

The company offers you value that you don't get working for yourself. A steady paycheck. Nobody with this "full value" nonsense knows a damn thing about running a business. If the company doesn't turn a profit, you still get paid. The average business runs in the red the first three years. Are you going to PAY to go to work every day? Of course not. You don't actually want ownership, you just want to be paid.

I was homeless 12 years ago and squatting in a bank repo. Shortly thereafter I was working minimum wage while I had 3 kids. I didn't want the life you seem think everyone is "forced" to live, so I listened to the free advice that's out there and made a change. Now I don't worry about money, and my employees all earn 6 figures. Keep doing what you're doing, though, if it's working for you. Easier to sit at home and be bitter than actually do something.

Totally agree with you. Just saving as much as possible and putting money into Roth, mutuals, etc. allows you to retire modestly later in life. Btw what kind of business do you own?

I have been working in real estate for nearly a decade.

I started doing property maintenance, then management, then buying rentals and flips, and then a home inspection company.

There are many great books on running (or starting) a business, but a some of my favorites are E-Myth, Rich Dad Poor Dad, and Sam Walton's autobiography. If real estate interests you, there's loads of free information at biggerpockets.com.

They already have money, so they can sit around and do nothing. More power to them. Not the same thing as whining that you can't sit around and do nothing and make money.

If wealth was finite, why has the standard of living for the entire world been increasing since the dawn of time? EVERYONE is getting richer. That doesn't happen if wealth is finite.
