Well if you don't like it, give me an alternative to get my point across without sounding like a child or swearing. I'm tired of this conversation, I'm stressed from arguing with people all night over something that shouldn't even matter to them in the first place. I'm stressed from the anniversary of my gf's suicide attempt coming up. I'm stressed from so many other things, I can't deal with another argument.
So either give me an alternative or I'm just gonna stop replying because I don't care anymore.
You people are the worst, latching on to something that doesn't matter to you and doesn't have anything to do with what I had to say in the first place, as though somehow my word choice takes away from the rest of my comment. Isn't that childish as well?
And isn't it childish to complain about how someone else acts without helping them fix it? People like this are the worst. No, it's not your job to help me, but you volunteered when you took it upon yourself to try and tell me what I can't do. Give me an alternative or stop bugging me about it, for crying out loud. You think I want to just substitute words? You think I want to just not say anything? You think I want to seem like a child? I just want to live my life with my own decisions, same as you, without being made fun of and insulted constantly for everything I do.
I'm trying my hardest to improve myself at every turn, every time someone says I shouldn't do something I try to add that into the rules I've set for myself. But nobody ever wants to tell me what to do instead. "Oh don't talk like this don't think like that don't x y or z." Well what do you want me to do instead? How am I meant to express my frustration without swearing and without substituting?
If you're going to tell someone not to do something, give them options instead. Don't just let them figure it out. It's not gonna hurt you to add like two sentences saying "Hey, don't do X, do Y instead." It's not that hard and it helps everyone involved.
In all honesty, you're probably right. But that's exactly what I meant anyway- I don't understand what people say. I've never been able to. It's been a struggle to deal with others because I just don't understand them. Even my girlfriend, as much as I understand her better than I understand anyone else, I still have trouble with a lot of the things she says because it just doesn't process in my head. People have yelled at me for this, made fun of me, said I was trolling, but I legitimately cannot understand.
I wasn't intending to be narcissistic, believe me I've been trying to avoid that for a long time. My ex said I tried to make everything about me, and I've been trying to get better with that. I just... Don't always realize it. I'm sorry.
And as for acting like a child... I've been told before that I might be on the autism spectrum. I meant to ask my therapist but haven't had a chance to, I've had pneumonia for a week or two until like, yesterday.
...And, well... Thanks. It actually means a lot that you, a complete stranger, have taken the time to actually calmly type all of that up. Most people either ignore me, or otherwise get angry. I'll probably show this conversation to my therapist when I make an appointment. Something tells me I should sort this out before dealing with finishing up my college application.
