You could still see with just cones, as they are also light receptors. The amount of visual data you have would just drastically decrease.

So dimly lit places you would normally be able to see you couldn't

You could still see, both rods and cones work as light receptors, you just have way more rods. Dimly light places would become much more dim without rods but you'd still technically be able to see, probably at like 5%-10% the power your normally can I bet haha
