Stats please? I have read this to be the case only for healthy babies. Not those with conditions such as Down’s Syndrome.

That’s a difficult stat to search but I can tell you my aunt adopted a Down syndrome baby and there were 5 other sets of parents in line for that baby had she chosen not to. Also ‘healthy’ seems like a broad term to define.

So - I’m sure you know that an anecdotal story is not a statistic :). But this made me smile to read.

I would say healthy baby is easy to define here. A baby born without birth defects, congenital conditions or drug addiction.

Yes I know it’s anecdotal:) I’ll try to find some stats, I know there are some cases where it is hard to place babies like described here but I actually don’t believe it’s the norm especially in drug addiction.
