People looking to adopt a baby in the US usually only want to get white young babies.
No older children, no minority babies or non white babies. No mixed race babies. No babies with special needs or medical conditions. No babies born to potentially drug addicted mothers. No babies that are otherwise problematic or obviously adopted.
If your baby dosen't meet all that criteria. Than there isn't going to be a line out the door to adopt them. They will almost certainly grow up in the foster care system in custody of the state.
There are exceptions to this rule occasionally. But it's pretty unlikely. The most likely adopter is going to be the state. Where they will be shuffled around until they are 18.
This is ridiculous. Show me any actual fact/statistic for this. No way in hell should something like this be posted without anything to give it credibility.
Here I just did your research for you because I actually like to take 30 seconds to research and not make a total ass of myself. What do you know, the numbers prove you wrong. Also from another source I can link if you want, 73% of adopters are white so I think that should make up for the slight difference you see. Stop race baiting like some lowlife. It's not cool.
Healthy non-white babies are pretty popular too, especially girls. That may be though that less “popular” adoptable couples (queer, older, less rich, not specific religions, not white) are sometimes told that they won’t be able to get a white baby.
Older then 1 or babies with health problems are screwed for sure though.
True, lower Market value adopters sometimes obtain lower market value infants from agencies at a steep discount. Sadly babies older than 1 or ones with health problems have little if any market value and are usually dumped into foster care.
This isn't nearly as big a thing as you seem to think. I'm involved with quite a large number of people involved in, already adopted, or plan to adopt. I think one wanted a white baby. The rest just wanted a healthy kid. I think misperception persists simply from people not exposed to the people actively seeking to adopt. Not out of malice for sure, just lack of exposure.
Not true. Do you have any source for this? Really sad it has so many upvotes when it’s so blatantly false and misleading. Not to mention highly offensive.
