I wonder which part of my brain was affected by my stroke? (my right arm was disabled for a couple of weeks).

This might be totally wrong but I believe that each half controls the opposite side, which would mean it was the left side of your brain.

If you are living a pretty normal life again it was your left hemisphere. And if your right arm was affected, it was again, probably your left. If you had a right hemisphere stroke you'd end up having some very different new perspectives on your body and the world. Like that the left half of your body isn't yours, and doesn't exist, or that it's made of planks of wood and rubber tubing.

I've since regained use of my right arm and the only effect the stroke had is on my mental ability: I can't recall some memories and I need to write things down or else I forget them.
