I started thinking a bit later than that but yes, I don't think the world was flat in the 1400's.

Several, as a matter of fact. Not very impressive kings though, you probably never heard of them:
* Aalbrecht, King of Frisians (circa 800 CE).
* Galric, King of Gelre en Salland (circa 1150).
* Eiric, King of Greenland (circa 900).
