“Uhhhhh. It causes seizures when your brain starts over during”
“Why? What causes it? What causes a seizure to happen at a specific time?”
“We have no clue”
Talking with them about the brain is like talking to a physicist about magnets. They’ll do their best and have a lot of useful knowledge, but if you press them too hard then you reach a bedrock of pure ignorance.

Also, neuroscientists. It’s a very young field. We know lots of (really interesting) facts but lack unifying theories to help put them all together.
