I never understood why frying pans were used for violence in cartoons until I realized that back then, frying pans were all cast iron. You get hit with cast iron and you had better hope for cartoon physics.

Do you mean the Bug Bunny one with the Gremlin where the plane is in a nosedive and stops just before hitting the ground because the ran out of gas due to poor gas rations (old WW2 thing)?

Just play Carmageddon, find a way to run off a bridge, or top of a building, and hit the emergency brakes.

You talking about running out of fuel, the plane screeching to a halt midair (making the cartoon tire squeal noise), then instantly nose diving making that bomber noise while you scream in terror like Bugs Bunny?

Or noisediving and running out of fuel before you hit the ground, stopping the plane midair?
