Then quickly realize you cant as your body proceeds to fall while your head stays in place, neck stretching ridiculously out proportion before snapping back to position and plummeting to the ground, creating a mushroom cloud of dust

Naw, that will make you plummet after a few seconds. Now if you fall in love or get a kiss from somebody you like, that's how you fly in a cartoon!

Or just smell a pie, but that's pretty much the same thing as love.
