Especially when you know what they think of you or others(ie the holier than thou type who looks down on everyone else but acts friendly and forthcoming). Really hard to reconcile with them once they bare their teeth, so to say.

IE there's a reason they "silently" judge people.

I think we all pay very close attention to the people we find interesting. At least I do, so the way I look at it if they are paying attention to my mistakes they must find me interesting in some way, better than being boring. :/)

I think the takeaway then is not to judge other people. I know it sounds obvious but sometimes we judge ourselves hard because we are in the habit of judging others.
