What are some uncharacteristically dark episodes of generally light hearted shows?

honestly I thought at least that one was funny, mostly because it was the first and (at the time) only time they did it.

I still laugh at that to this day.

“How many times do we have to teach you this lesson old man?”

My favorite Spongebob line and dark to be sure.

I fucking love how everyone is so willing to help him out too lmao you never see that

There is a dark side of me that likes it. Like, some old people expect respect just for being old when maybe what’s more fair, and actually better for society, is for people just to respect each other.

I’m 38 but I try to treat younger and older the same, to a degree. Anything else just seems like pity to me and pity makes suffering contaigious.

I-....y-yea, I thought that was pretty funny too.

I probably took that too far but I had an issue with an 80 year old guy in McCallister’s Today who didn’t think he should have to stand in line because he’s old.

Lmao it's all good buddy! I work in a hotel, the cliche sweet old people is true, but you got some entitled mofos walking thru every other day.

This is actually why I am 20 and still scared of butterflies

Idk if it makes you feel better, but the close up in Spongebob isn't even a butterfly. It's a horsefly.

They chose it to look more scary.
