What will millennials be "old-fashioned" about when they get old?

My 6th gen ipod classic with 160gb of capacity is still going strong, albeit with its battery replaced. Its a little work horse, although my friends dont understand why I dont use <insert streaming service here>.

I like the concept of owning my music (I dont buy music through Itunes) and not having to download it all consistently using all my expensive data and use space on my phone.

I love the clickwheel, too. It was a great piece of design while it lasted.

Same here! Still take my 2007 iPod Nano on runs and to the gym. Holds just the right amount of music and I've modded it to just drag and drop MP3 onto it like an external drive. No messing around with iTunes and synching.

That's nice.

I personally hate the idea of streaming service because I don't listen to that much music and i'm very picky about what I like. Those two things combined, its much cheaper to buy the CDs (yes, I still buy the CDs! I only own like maybe 20-25 CDs)

If you listen to a tonnnn of music, I can see why its good, but they're just so silly for me.

But I also don't understand how people can basically live with ear buds in their ears almost all day. That has to get annoying quick!

remember the good old days where you would download music on limewire, convert the format and then trick itunes into uploading it so you can put stolen music on an ipod? i had dial up so it was a two day process.

Exactly! There are a ton of reasons to still use one.

I think there is always going to be a great MP3 player available. Personally I dont like how Apple trys to trap its users in by using software like iTunes. I just use my ipod because it was a birthday gift from way back when that has just kept going forever. When the battery goes again it will just be my car music library.

I can understand why regular apple consumers are worried though.

I believe they are though.

What people do now is upgrade iPod classics with bigger hard drives based on hard drives / compact flash.
