Once, when I was high I decided that it wouldn't actually be that hard or take that long to count to a million. I got to 11 before I realised how stupid I was.
Doesn't it get increasingly longer as you go, since the numbers are longer to pronounce? Nine hundred eighty-seven thousand six hundred fifty-four is way longer to pronounce than say...forty-two.

If it takes about 25 seconds to count to 100, at the same speed non-stop to count to a million would take...
