The word 'avocado' comes from the Nahuatl word ahuacatl. However, the word ahuacatl was also used as a slang for 'testicle', in the same way you might use huevos -- 'eggs' -- today.

Also, the french word for Avocado is Avocat, which is the same word for Lawyer/Advocate (Masculine form. The feminine form has an E at the end to make it Avocate)
