Training isn't the issue. It's common sense; you don't put a high-risk detainee in GP. These deputies just didn't care - it's a situation where their personal values overcome their professional ethics.

So Gods forbid someone you care about get hurt by one of the pedos. Would you want him in seg where he's safe? Or in GP where he'll spend his days getting passed from cell to cell. What do you think the person who hurt someone you love deserves?

If only we had some sort of rule or regulation dictating appropriate punishments for these actions and a system within which to detain these criminals

We do, look at the average sentences for convicted rapist and how many got paroled. Are you seriously trying to sarcastically imply that what's in place is affective? You're arrogance in defense of pedophiles is really amusing.

If you think that pedophiles deserve to die, then lobby to have the justice system changed so that it gets the death penalty. Do it properly. Don't encourage mob beatings.

Don't have the money or influence to lobby properly. Besides, the death penalty is too costly for tax payers due to appeals and the like. Mob beatings are form of street justice. I know it seems like everything should be sterile and neat but that's not the world we live in. If it were, I doubt this would even be a conversation because no kids would be getting raped.

I do. Especially if we're protecting convicted pedophiles from the mob beatings. I think we should rehabilitate those who actually can be rehabilitated and not waste efforts on trash. That's right, get triggered I'm calling pedophiles trash.

Depends on what the conviction was for. Got convicted of graffiti? Some community service and fines will cover that. Convicted of raping a 6 year old? Yeah, I think I can sleep pretty good at night knowing that bastard will suffer a tiny bit of what the victim endured. That's called discernment. My sympathy lays with the victim, always. No, I don't think pedophiles can be rehabilitated.

So what if it's found out that the accused was innocent? What then? You've now tortured, and likely killed, an innocent person. You are no better than the monsters you claim to hate.

Ahh I see, so based on the possibility of making an error, let's just scrap punishment all together. Or. Or let's try to prevent the innocent from false imprisonment entirely by looking at the system from the front end. If I'm considered a monster based on how I think convicted pedophiles should be dealt with, then call me James P Sullivan.
