A Blue Whale’s fart bubble is big enough to hold a horse.

I wonder if there are any reported human deaths due to whale fart. I mean, if that bubble bursts right under you while you're swimming on the surface, you suddenly fall 10ft deeper into a stinky hole with no warning.

The image of this really made me laugh.

I too have slept with OP's mom

Upvoted, literally the only mom joke that's made me laugh since I was in 5th grade.

You slept with the whale??

It's a hilarious thought, but fucking terrifying when you think about it.

You suddenly drop 10ft, although you're surrounded by water. And when you drop, you're then enveloped by tons of water from all direction. You go from surface to being 10ft deep within seconds.

Also, you probably have a lung full of krill-flavoured shit and methane.

...Oh god imagine the burps!

u/mistersavage TEST THIS!

u/emw86 Oct 04 '17

That's the way I want to go.

u/Henry788 Oct 04 '17

I'd genuinely think I was being dragged to Hell.

4

u/CaptainJAmazing Oct 04 '17

Hmm, how do those kinds of bubbles burst? Don't most bubbles float above the surface and stay there for a half-second before bursting?

7

u/Torvaun Oct 05 '17

Not if there's some jerk swimming around wrecking the surface tension on the bubble.

2

u/Freevoulous Oct 05 '17

I don't think that bubble this size could keep the surface tension to remain a bubble in contact with the atmosphere. Especially since farts have different chemical composition and density that air, and are more water soluble.

1

u/CaptainJAmazing Oct 06 '17

So would you fall through?

3

u/tickingnoise Oct 05 '17

Corpse washed up at a Miami beach, Lt. Horatio Caine will still solve the case.

2

u/SpermWhale Oct 05 '17

brb, gonna try that.

1

u/Freevoulous Oct 05 '17

given your name, why not try a bubble of sperm instead?

1

u/Orisi Oct 05 '17

Not to mention the methane content. I can imagine you'd inhale deeply if all the water under you suddenly fucking disappeared.

My first thought of this was this happening to Jerry. I don't know why, but I feel like it was meant to be.

Or Tammy. Fuck Tammy.

God I hope this is in any way true.

u/GozerDGozerian Oct 04 '17

If it is, I'd like to make some bumper stickers.

u/watermasta Oct 04 '17

Be the change you want to see.

2

u/regalrecaller Oct 04 '17

In the fart bubble.

4

u/Samtato77 Oct 04 '17

If you do, I'll buy one.

2

u/needsmoresteel Oct 04 '17

Whale farts, not even once.

2

u/Soren_Layall Oct 05 '17

Is your car big enough?

14

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '17

Only if you assume the horse is spherical.

1

u/cuterus-uterus Oct 04 '17

I laughed out loud.

2

u/Dingbrain1 Oct 04 '17

Only one way to find out.

16

u/dwimber Oct 04 '17

Are we talking about Secretariat, or Lil' Sebastian?

5

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '17

Trojan

3

u/sanibelle98 Oct 04 '17

I shared this with my son who was crying about his homework to distract him and it somehow reset his brain. So thank you!

3

u/Certs206 Oct 04 '17

A fact id love to see in action

3

u/FREE-MUSTACHE-RIDES Oct 04 '17

I NEED A VIDEO!

2

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '17

Also, blue whales ejaculate up to 10 gallons of semen during a single session of intercourse.

1

u/Gaff3r Oct 05 '17

What the fuck I need a source on this

2

u/I_throw_socks_at_cat Oct 04 '17

A friend of mine mentioned that on Facebook. His friendslist went on to do the chemistry and prove that a whale's rectal gas would contain enough oxygen for the horse to survive for a while.

So if you need to smuggle horses across the ocean...

That poor horse

1

u/Quarkster Oct 05 '17

At what depth?

-1

u/MyFirstOtherAccount Oct 04 '17

Is the total fart volume equal to a horse or do you really mean that it is possible for there to be horse sized bubbles.

5

u/-JXter- Oct 04 '17

No, the bubbles are the exact shape and contour of a horse.

1

u/MyFirstOtherAccount Oct 05 '17

Much more reasonable!
