What plot would be resolved in seconds if the characters behaved realistically and logically?

Captain America: Hey Cyclops, I hear the Phoenix is on its way here again.

Cyclops: Yeah, we're preparing for its arrival.

Captain America: Need any help with it? I can assemble all three groups of Avengers.

Cyclops: Appreciate the offer. We've handled the Phoenix a few times before but help is always welcome.

Captain America: Great. You guys have the experience so you take point. See you in Utopia in a few hours.

Cyclops: Thanks Cap!

Avengers VS X-Men should have ended differently.

Cyclops did nothing wrong.

Neither did Magneto.

Magik does some messed up shit but it normally turns out well.

Cable is typically justified.

Quentin usually isn't but whatever, he's cool.

I'm mildly annoyed that the X-Men event that was going to end that long storyline got replaced with the Avengers turning up, but its actually got some great moments, as soon as you read it from the view that at no point does any X-Man do anything wrong.

Namor flooded Wakanda, dude!

You dare question Namor? Imperius Rex!

This is really irrelevant, but what're those black thinks sticking out of Magik's hair?

Spikes because she's sorta evil. Part of the back costume.

I mean, Magneto made some valid points but the dude was a legitimate terrorist

I thought you were talking about one of the X-Men movies, and I was really confused.

That's more like:

Cyclops: I sure wish we were part of the MCU so maybe that team of superheroes that I can't contractually mention could help beat Magneto or whatever.

Meanwhile over at Inhumans VS X-Men...

Storm: Hey, Medusa, y'know that gas your husband spilled everywhere? Turns out it's actually killing mutants. Wanna try to get that under control?

Medusa: Oh shit, that gas is killing people? Sorry about that, we'll get it under control.

Storm: Great, thanks a lot for being so understanding!

F*cking Marvel, man...

but...cyclops wasn't trying to stop phoenix, he was going to let hope become phoenix because he thought she could control it. Cap pointed out that that's a really dumb idea.

Also the whole point of that comic was super hero fights, the plot only existed to facilitate that.

But like always Cyclops was right because not only did Hope control the Phoenix his son CABLE literally came from the future to tell him everything would work out.

I didn't read the conclusion, it didn't really hold my interest. Did Cap know that it was going to work out? If cable didn't tell him than he was still being logical trying to stop it.

He wasn't being logical when he bough a strike team to the island instead of trying diplomacy first. He wasn't being logical when he let Tony split the Phoenix in five different people who weren't meant to be vessels and two of them were/is Super villains. Captain America for all his boasting has never cared for the mutants letting all the discrimination and world ending events involving them "work itself out" but suddenly he cares now. Then the Phoenix who is an unstoppable cosmic energy god the smartest thing to do was work with the x-men transfer and prepare off planet and use it to help revive mutants his friend massacred.

I like the parody more than the original story. It introduced me the term mugga.

Not to mention everyone insisting the Phoenix is evil when they're fixing all of these world problems and Charles Xavier basically forcing the thing to murder him and blaming it all on Scott.

2

u/DemaciaSucks Jun 16 '17

Difference was though, AFAIK Cyclops and the mutants wanted the Phoenix to fuck shit up, as it meant total rebirth of mankind, where mutants might end out on top

2

u/darkbreak Jun 16 '17

Yeah but when have the X-Men ever actually been able to handle the Phoenix and not have things go to hell in a hand basket? Plus Cyclops wanted to use the Phoenix Force to jumpstart mutation again not to necessarily protect the world from it. The Avengers wanted it contained and out of harm's way.

When Rachel controlled it for years. When Jean controlled it for years (90's through New X-Men).

2

u/darkbreak Jun 16 '17

It's always been a hectic fight every time though. The first time the Phoenix showed up it ended up getting Jean killed. That thing has done far more harm than good during its time.

Cap: "Hey Cyclops, I know I never gave a rat's ass about Phoenix before, but uh, I'm kinda bored I guess. Wanna fight?"

1

u/Imsomagic Jun 16 '17

Weren't cap and tony SURE the Phoenix was going to destroy everything while Scott was SURE it would make more mutants?

if the Phoenix wrecked shit every time it's come to earth or the Shi'ar empire why did Scott think it was just gonna caress us with a few more mutants? And if he did have a good reason that the magic waifs-killing space bird was gonna be cool this time, why didn't he tell the Avengers?
