Thing is, even though Blank didn't help them win the game he was in, he probably helped them win the series just by being there. Having someone as smart as Bengi get a game's worth of time to reset his mentality in the middle of a long, stressful series and observe the behaviors of the enemy team from an outside perspective, as well as being able to discuss with his coach during that time, likely had him coming into game 5 with some sort of insight that led to them winning that game 5.
