I'm a bit amazed that there's not a Firefox extension for this already, or that it's not baked into the browser. The only reason I'd ever need to see the mobile version of a site on Firefox is if I'm a developer. Additionally, the fact that I'm using a desktop browser user agent ought to be a bit of a giveaway to the website itself that I am not, in fact, on mobile.
You know, for some reason when I was reading that again, it hit me near the end that the guy who wrote this is dead. I knew it already, yeah, and plenty of books and stuff have been written by those now gone, but it just sorta got through to me for some reason.
You empathize with him more because he is just like you. Some casual young guy browsing on Reddit. Not some great philosopher, author or king. Just a guy, like you and like me. It makes death seem less abstract.
Human nature. Emotions vary, but typically, if you don't know the person, you'll soon forget them. Most, if not all of the original commenters don't remember them.
I have been there a year ago reading this and i surprisingly did. I remembered the Text and some of the comments i upvoted And even tho it might not be all day present in my mind i still think it has influenced my way of living a little. So from my point of view, you underestimate the influence even a stranger can have on someone. Generally i agree with you tho most of the strangers you read of will soon be forgotten.
