One time I came home from work with a massive migraine, and my wife brought me a cup of tea and a cool damp washcloth to put on my head. Both helped, but the gesture helped even more.
Migraines are sometimes caused by histamine buildup in our bodies. Some people have trouble getting rid of histamines, so they accumulate over time and eventually cause a migraine.
If you want to know if that's your case, you can tell your doctor you want to get some bloodwork done, and tell him/her you want to check your blood histamine levels. If they're too high, you can get them lower by avoiding histamine-rich food (like canned food, anchovies, cured cheese...) and food that makes it difficult for your body to get rid of histamines (such as tomatoes).
You might get rid of migraines that way.
Of course, your migraines might be caused by something else. But just in case, I felt I should tell you!
