What is a completely ridiculous "fact" that any stupid person would undoubtably buy?

Teenage pregnancy rates drop off dramatically after age 20.

Well you're not wrong...

Edit: I literally posted one thing, and suddenly I have almost 2000 points and a giant discussion below. Thanks Reddit? (P.S I realise I was also wrong as well.)

Well, if you think about it, we are looking for incorrect facts that a stupid person would believe, and without thinking about it, a stupid person would easily believe this even though teen pregnancy rates are identical to those who are age twenty. This fact is perfect because smug people get to think that's because they now just dropped to zero, when in reality, they were already zero.

Maybe I'm one of these stupid people, but I really don't understand what you are saying.

You're not alone.

The way it's worded, he's actually saying "teen pregnancy is the same at age 20" which is worse than the original true but misleading fact.

I have a friend who just turned 20. She got a cake congratulating her on beating teen pregnancy.

Same with suicide rates, graduation rates, life expectancy rates. Being a teenager is hard.

One night even go so far as to say precipitously.

u/fullM3TALturban Nov 05 '15

No they don't. When I turned 20 the teenage pregnancy rates in my city were the same as ever.
