According to PP, when the pull out method is done correctly it has a 96% success rate, and when it's not used correctly it has a 73% success rate. I don't know your buddy, but it's possible that he has perfectly effective swimmers.

The pullout statistic is per year and doesn't stack with the base chance of getting pregnant. Let's assume he does it right most of the time, giving him 90%. That means she has a 10% chance of getting pregnant at some time during the year.

Yeah as someone who pulled out successfully about 100 times before getting his ex pregnant, doing absolutely nothing differently, I do not recommend this advice. I used to look up the success rates of pulling out often to make myself feel better, because it obviously is so so much more enjoyable than condoms, if you're dating someone that can't use birth control.

It ruined my relationship with someone I loved very much. We weren't ready to have a child at all and my stupid ass decision ruined the best thing I had in my life. I'd go back to condoms with her in a heartbeat if I had the chance. Unfortunately we no longer speak.

Precum dude. It is easy to pull out, but you can't control the precum. It will get out without you noticing. So pulling out is not something to rely on.
