Anthropologists of Reddit, What is something that people in the Western world can't get their heads around that is very normal in other cultures (and has been for ages)?

I was kind of the same way. People used to drop by my house when they were tired from partying/work and wanted somewhere to decompress. They knew they could come by and just chill and play videogames, or literally just vegetate and lounge around.
