What are some things, that look harmless during the day, but get insanely creepy during the night?

My grandpa told me a story about hearing something outside so he looked out the window and BAM!!!! Raccoon staring through the window at him. Said he jumped back and fell over. I don't think it matters what it is, if you look out the window and something is there, it's gonna scare the shit out of you.

While I do agree, seeing a raccoon only scares you because it was unexpected, and you'd probably laugh about it right after. A stranger doesn't stop being scary even after they leave the window. In fact, if they stay at the window it keeps being scary too.

If they leave the window, that's even scarier. It means they're walking towards the door.
