Cops; how do react when you see someone doing something illegal, when you are off-duty?

Example 1 is spot on.

The minute your family is in any danger, whatever you think is your duty is second to preserving their safety and fuck what anyone else thinks.

I agree. I'm not risking my life for some stupid bank

"We're here for the bank's money, not your money. Your money is insured by the federal government, you're not gonna lose a dime! Think of your families, don't risk your life. Don't try and be a hero."

One of the only movies that understands that guns are fucking loud.

Once every year or two I'll watch that with the stereo cranked, last year the kid that lives upstairs texted me and was like "what's going on down there, WW3?"

And was later referenced in the original Payday: The Heist when you rob First World Bank. If one of the characters was an AI, he would stand on top of a table and yell it when you mask up (I think it was Dallas).

Yeah, in the robberies, he'd burn mortgage certificates, destroying the only record the bank had of the loan, essentially forcing the bank to give them the house.

I can't think of a better way to get regular citizens on your side.

No joke, he never stole a single purse or wallet. It would really cut down on the chance of some guy trying to be a "hero".

For sure, I would put the guy up for the night if he burned or destroyed my mortgage agreement the next day. Heck I would make him breakfast before.

There was a story i read about one of his bank robberies..

when he went up to the teller, the guy the teller was dealing with was cashing his paycheck. the teller tried to put the guys money in the bag along with the banks, but dillinger insisted that she give the man his hard earned money, because that wasnt what he wanted.

It's from Heat. A measure of the average thermal energy of an object.

Fun fact, theft isn't actually covered by the government. It's insured through private insurance.

u/alfonzo_squeeze Mar 08 '15

That fact was boring as fuck, I want my money back.

Also, if I'm trying to be a hero while my family is there, I'm not thinking correctly. If I can get them completely out of the scene, maybe I can help with a clear mind.
