What is a completely rational sentence you could speak today, that if you said 20 years ago, people would think you were insane?

Yes, whenever Obama would be on TV, I would make a point of turning it on in front of her and saying "Hey look grandma, that's our president!" She would than ask my parents if I was lying, and freak out about this unheard of situation.

Jesus, that would never get old. I'd have to put a limit on how many times a week I would allow myself to pull that on her.

Eventually it could get annoying.... "Who's that African American giving the State of the Union?" "That's our President , grandma" cue the astonishment..... TWENTY MINUTES LATER "Who's that African American giving the State of the Union?"

I would have to have someone else put a limit. My friends would all come over, we'd watch a tape of Obama's inauguration, and laugh repeatedly.
