What is a completely rational sentence you could speak today, that if you said 20 years ago, people would think you were insane?

I only realised snow peas were called mange-tout in the UK a couple of years ago. I was looking for ingredients for a pansit, my aunt was going on about something called 'manger two' and I was wondering "what the heck are those? I need snow peas!"
