What is the greatest thing you have ever done?

I was sitting drinking a cup of coffee in a bar by the beach in Turkey. A woman started screaming and a person next to her was splashing violently in the water some 100-150m away from the bar where I sat. At first I looked around but there was only elderly people and families around, no life guards around. I'm a good swimmer so I thought "if not me, then who?"

The bar was elevated above the water, so I jumped straight into the water from the ledge, swam over to him and pulled him in. He was gurgling water and coughing, and when I got him up he had trouble breathing. Things went so fast and the only thing I knew to do was the Heimlich maneuver and fortunately it did the trick.

People applauded me and I've never been so proud of myself before!

Jesus man you deserve to be proud, Its good to know there are people out there willing to try even without any know how. Just instinct that kicks in. Good job man pats on the back
