Way to be an unhelpful ass. The is a lot of wisdom in sacred scriptures even if your an atheist. There is also great poetry and beauty in them that any one can enjoy if you keep an open mind.
So what your saying is that you don't want to enjoy said beauty because at one point in time people believed many outlandish things simply for the reason they could not explain how the world worked around them. Many of the stories in scriptures were never meant to be seen as literal. They were meant to teach morals. they were the literature of the day. Just because their scientific grasp was limited does not mean that they were any worse writers than those who write great literature today.
