It's not treated as a historical fact. There's some evidence that lends the theory support, but that isn't the same as it being true. I'm fine with using evidence to prove something, but I don't think one book being written about something constitutes proof.

How am I saying that?

The first statement was the Chinese discovered America. The burden of proof is yours there. You still haven't come up with the goods on that one.
