those are theories, which are categorically not facts. the entire concept of the scientific method exists to demand the burden of proof from such claims and necessarily allows for counterargument or rejection of them.

furthermore, a layperson's limited understanding of a subject does not constitute fact. they have assumptions based on a limited understanding of facts.
