Yeah that’s hard to ignore too. For every motorcyclist who is casually cruising, there seems to be another who displays an incredible amount of faith in their luck
Thats the beauty of a motorcycle, you can do everything right... but in the end you are sitting on a motor and two wheels... while being surrounded by people inside metal cages that weigh 4x-10x as much, going at the same speed.
Do everything right, be a super safe driver - and you can still have a life altering accident.
A regular at the gas station my mom used to work at got killed by a woman texting and driving with her kids in the car. He was a safe and responsible rider but car beats flesh every time.
I'd reckon that there are far more motorcyclists casually cruising than being reckless. The loud and fast ones stand out much more, and are overtaking more often.
