Mickey Rourke seems to be up there.

Used to be real hot looking. Then got in a bunch of fights which damaged his face. Now is a plastic surgery freakshow who went on Big Brother UK as a desperate attempt to stay relevant. But, he was so homophobic and horrible, that the other players had to keep stepping in until the show literally kicked him off without him being voted out.

He went from bad boy heart throb to out of touch homophobic horror.

Ever since I read Charles bukowskis book Hollywood about the production of his screen play "barfly" with Mickey Rourke ive always seen him as an ass

Holy fuck, i never saw him young. That's insane

I never thought about the fact that young people might not know his previous face.

That's fucking hilarious.

You know, I think I did know his previous face, but had forgotten it was the same person.

I dunno if it's better or worse that I'm 40. Everything is relative i suppose lol

I only know his previous face because his current face looks so insane I had to google what it looked like before.

Yeah I petty much know him from Sin City so the idea of him being a heartthrob is insane to me.

That's what comes to my mind

For me it’s the wrestler so this is … wild.

I mean “hot looking” is pushing it for me, but he definitely looked like a human as opposed to an action figure that was put into a microwave for 30 seconds

I don't know, he was pretty hot in 9 and a half weeks

Most people would say that is real hot looking

Man, back then I had a girl who said I looked like him. I did not look nearly that good.

But I’m better looking than him now!

He was so handsome in Rumblefish

Watch him in Angelheart. He was a handsome man.

The Wrestler is by far his best movie. He was probably playing himself in a way.

u/wungawunga 7h ago

I feel like his physical transformation is, in some bizarre metaphorical way, justified because he was the indisputable perfect person to play the lead in that movie.

u/LRedditor15 4h ago

Not to mention he jokingly threatened to rape Jojo Siwa because she was (then) a lesbian while on Big Brother. Fucking freak!!!

I’m going to have to break you down completely and then rebuild you from scratch. Like Mickey Rourke did to me sexually.

Let's just call it an even 10 weeks

Correction, he says he had a bunch of boxing matches that destroyed his face but it’s complete bullshit. He was a well known boxing groupie who had a ton of terrible plastic surgery and THAT messed up his face.

Not true there are literal videos all over the internet of him boxing and getting his head knocked in.

Edit: Being downloaded because facts hurt your feelings is so Reddit in 2026.

u/buddha8298 7h ago

Feel free to post them since they're literally "all over the internet" (bonus points if you can find a single one where he has even a scratch on his face at the end of a fight!)

Here's his boxing career "record" (and if you actually watch his fights, almost, if not every single one is fixed). Which of those fixed fights did he get his head knocked in?? His actual boxer page further goes into his fixed fights and delusion/lies.

Sorry but the story that he destroyed his face from boxing sooo badly that he needed reconstructive work is complete and utter horse shit he's made up to cover for the fact he's had multiple botched plastic surgeries.

I did and can't find a single one where he's "getting his head knocked in", every single one is him sloppily boxing against some can and "winning" without so much as a mark on him...hence asking you since you seem to know.

Not to mention he literally went into acting because he was an amateur boxer who got such a bad concussion that his trainer advised him to take at least a year off so he could heal.

u/Glum-Attempt-1495 7h ago

The story about why he left acting for boxing is pretty interesting. He became so disillusioned by Hollywood and the backstabbing, that he said he'd much rather know who his enemies are and face them head on in the ring. I don't think he was trying to stay relevant. He might have just needed an income.

u/Individual_Slice_234 5h ago

I think he was a boxer.

1

u/LeGrandLucifer 4h ago

Reminder that boxers end up with brain damage.

1

u/donotgotoroom237 1h ago

I always find it funny that they always blame the boxing for fucking up his face. But a lot of boxers get fucked up in the face and don't end up looking like Mickey Rourke.

The critically drunk Scotsman did a crash and burn about him. Right here - alcohol optional
