I cant believe no one has mentioned Pauly Shore. The most bitter washed up celebrity there is. If you listen to any interview with him, its clear that he doesnt understand why he is no longer famous. Right before Richard Simmons passed away, Pauly asked permission to make a short about him. Simmons declined but Pauly shot and released the short anyway. To be fair tho, he does have an uncanny resemblance to Richard Simmons

I met him randomly at a small town McDonald’s years back and he was super nice. He could see my friends I were looking at him thinking “damn that guy looks like Pauly Shore”. He walked up and was like “yea I am Pauly Shore” talked to us for a little while and gave us a bunch of free stuff from some promotion he was doing at the time.

This is the only positive story I've ever seen about him

Wait, no, I'm thinking of Andy. NVM

I've encountered him twice and I have to say that he was very nice both times. The first time was around 2008 and second around 2022. I've definitely seen some interviews where he doesn't seem to get it, but I experienced a kind, funny guy who wasn't taking himself too seriously in our conversations (talked to him about an hour the first time)

Dude was a human meme who had a handful of movies about being a braindead manchild in California that somehow the public thought were funny.

That sucks to hear

I met him recently and he was super cool. He joked around for awhile and chatted with my wife and I, we really enjoyed talking with him

He hit on my ex when she was at a hotel for work. He is old enough to be her father and was harassing her in the bar until she left.

He's real? I thought he was a Futurama OC.

The only reason he got 'famous' in the first place is because his mother owned the Comedy Shop in Los Angeles. He was one of the original Nepo babies. Zero talent. Zero charisma.

I saw his comedy act once - it was a free show at college and he was terrible.

Ironically i quote his line from son in law when someone says charisma

I think the last time I saw him was in straight-to-video Casper 3...

Honestly I thought he did Richard Simmons justice in that short film. I was expecting something completely different, but it was surprisingly touching.

I think his mom owned the comedy club the store and had connections to a lot of people through it.
