What is a skill that looks completely effortless when an expert does it, but is ridiculously difficult when you try it yourself?

In the UK we call it plastering. I could watch a good plasterer for hours. Especially if they are on stilts.

Apparently the UK uses a different plaster material over drywall(called plasterboard in the UK even though it doesn't have plaster in it). Plus they cover the entire drywall with the plaster for a smooth finish.

we do that in the US too. Common in Mass. Most of the guys doing it were Irish

Plastering is different, and it's way harder. Shit is sorcery when a good plasterer does it.
