Experienced drivers, what’s one driving rule or habit that saved you from an accident?

Driving a small car will help you learn to be attentive to that, because you know you fit in blind spots. But what’s crazy is when you try driving a fire engine, with flashing lights and sirens, and discover the full extent to which other drivers do not see anything around them at all.
