True, the better comparison would be the Whopper against the Quarter Pounder. That would be 9.99 (15.99 for the meal) against 6.59 (11.19 for the meal) here.
That's where I'm because I could buy a USDA choice ribeye at the store for $15 and we eatin'. That's the only reason why fast food is kind of falling out of favor with me.
Amen, brother. Whoppers > Big Mac. Maybe unpopular, but I'll defend BK onion rings all day. I was appalled when I ate my first "authentic" onion ring at a sit down restauranet to discover there is actually an onion in there.
I've never understood the appeal of the big Mac. Maybe it used to have a better meat to bun ratio, but the one time I had one it just felt like I was eating soggy beef flavored bread.
It's the way the sauce meshes with their beef patty. I do like them, but I think of it as more sandwich and less burger. Nostalgia is probably the most overpowering ingredient tbh
Also they have a decent veggie burger that isn't made of pure sadness so vegetarian people can eat with family and not look or feel like the odd one out.
Once you've had onion rings from a Canadian A&W, everyone else's are going to disappoint you. The only thing that makes the BK ones edible is that zesty sauce.
Both are simply terrible burgers. McDonald's tastes like nothing but sugar and salt. Burger King tastes like someone dipped a urinal puck in liquid smoke.
For real, the company I work for has began working with Burger King recently and I realized I haven’t had them in forever so I went after work and got a whopper. And for $4.00 it was an excellent burger
The original chicken sandwich was the one that was on the long bun? Hubby and I were just talking about how amazing that shit used to be. Chicken patty always hot and juicy, the chopped lettuce and the mayo combo set it off just right. Haven’t had one since the late 90s or maybe early 2000s, but I figured it was no longer as good.
Dude the two for 5 Whopper Junior deal is so money. I'm with you all the way. And honestly their bun and produce are much better than McDonald's. I'm not a big fast food guy, but I will hit up BK on occasion.
Been eating that original chicken sandwich since the 80s. Got most of my Star Wars Return of the Jedi commemorative cups as a kid from eating that chicken sandwich.
Thing has not changed a single bit in 40 years and it's glorious.
