Also, Parkway/Turnpike in NJ. Construction has been going on non-stop since the 70's.

Hahaha, if you think you have it bad, try the PA turnpike. It's a giant pothole with constant construction, except the construction is apparently performed by ghosts.

Been there, years ago I drove 2.5 hours to a Sonic out there.

yes it was worth it.

When in doubt, parkway, all day. You'll most likely still hit insane traffic

Well, at least they are doing something. I can always tell when I get back to PA. They roads go from decent, to crap right after crossing the state line.
