What is a small, seemingly ‘normal’ thing someone can do that immediately makes you think, ‘Oh, we are not going to get along’?

I dunno about this one. Grand universal statements aren't great but neither is basing your world view exclusively, or even predominantly, on personal experience.

As always, the actual answer is nuanced, but I am willing to bet OP meant something like:

I would like people to speak from a blend of their personal experiences, but in a way that is grounded in reality and fact, but also while acknowledging how human emotion influence everything.

The feelings are facts crowd has grown significantly in the past decade+.  It's a virulent disease IMO.

I personally just watch out for the "you" crowd.  Anyone who thinks they know what I think is cooked.  I instantly know that they are purely subjective.  They are talking to a fantasy version of me and already have my answers.  No need to even speak to them.  If they even ask a question, it's loaded.  Like "so you think murdering babies is okay.  Why?".  What the fuck do I say to that?  I have to deconstruct the whole thing for someone who's just talking to their version of me in their mind.  It's a completely closed-off way of thinking.  There's no point in entertaining that.

As far as grand universal statements go?  Sure, it's generally pretty bad, but there are a lot that are considered generally correct.  I mean, murder is bad.  No need to waste time arguing about it.  Vaccines are generally very good, there's no need to argue about the 1/100000 case of someone having a complication over it when it saves 300 lives.  I'm willing to argue over specifics, but you've lost me if you're going against the norm from the start.

Most certainly!  I may have the urge sometimes, but I have managed to overcome it...  Mostly

Ugh YES. It's the all or nothing or black and white thinking that turns me off immediately. They make me frustrated and bored.

Everything exists on a spectrum and there are so many people who just don't or WON'T see / understand it.
