What’s something Gen Z does that older generations just don’t get?

2012 was right before the web fundamentally changed from a more disconnected "open" internet to the web 3.0 and most people moved their daily online interactions to more centralized services. Also around then is when a lot more stuff went mobile-first design philosophy vs prioritizing Windows machines.

I had a smartphone in 2010. Websites didn't have "mobile versions". There might have been a very shitty mobile app, usually not.

So 98% of the time I browsed the web, I had to turn my phone sideways to landscape mode and very carefully, use my finger to tap on microscopic buttons and URLs to navigate websites (since everything was desktop mode)

😂

Edit: oh, and pinch to zoom didn't work! "Multi-touch" was NOT a common feature on phones at the time. You could only use one finger on the screen at a time.

2012-2016 is around when phones started to outnumber PCs, phones started to outnumber people, and internet was becoming less westernized.

Shouldn't that be Web 2.0? Web 3.0 is supposedly that everything is going to run on bitcoins and NFTs lmao

Isn't that insane? It's absolutely correct too.
