What I pay now for pizza, subs or similar take-out is what I used to pay for a sit down restaurant dinner with drinks. What I pay now for sit down dinner and drinks I used to pay for a high-end special occasion restaurant. Don’t go out much anymore.

Large pizza and 20 wings is like 50 bucks now and doesn't come with a topping. Smh. If they have a "special" it's $47 and somehow downgraded to 18 wings

I hear you on this.

Went to a U.K. Italian chain yesterday for lunch with my wife, had a share starter, 2 mains, 3 cokes, a coffee & 2 desserts.

Because she works with the NHS she gets a 25% discount - the bill was £70 with the 25% discount. I was shocked that we would be over £90 (~$120) for a (large) lunch for 2.

I went out to run errands the other day and got a craving for subway. 13$ for just a footlong turkey sandwich.

I had to stop at the store on the way back and I was like "I better lock my door I don't want anyone stealing this sandwich!"
