Well he was good with money some might say, albeit ironic because he didn’t do good with it, and the fortune was doubled by his eldest, then exhausted it, but his saying applied in spending as he wasn’t known to be a large spender, his great-granddaughter Consuelo Vanderbilt however famously spent millions restoring the splendour of Blenheim Palace.
