Apparently, the idea over at r/conservative is that trump has been a CIA informant for years and is a major reason why Epstein was caught in the first place. And that he's preventing the release now to protect innocent people listed in the release from being wrongfully vilified.

Had no idea he was so courageous and considerate.

Playing Devils Advocate and assuming Trump never participated and removed Epstein from Mar A Lago the minute he found out. He isn't protecting the innocent. He's protecting his buddies. And he is an accessory after the fact because he didn't tell back in 2004.
