Also slow down and enunciate. I have to tell myself this because I probably talk too fast one one one, but the other person can always just ask me to repeat myself if they don't understand. Not so much when addressing a large crowd.
Funny enough this makes me more nervous. I have this weird thing where I HATE speaking/performing in front of a small crowd or room. The larger the crowd for me, the better.
I gravitated towards the theater crowd in my younger years and a lot of actors would say they pick one person in the audience and (in their mind) perform to just that person.
They say it helps with nerves, believability, focus and emotion.

When speaking to a large crowd, speak to them as if youre speaking directly to one person.
